There is one thing that every buyer is looking for: space. The more space, the better the deal! By strategically placing mirrors throughout your home, you can create a more spacious illusion. Additionally, placing mirrors in certain spots of your home can help light up sections that are generally more dim.

#2: Neutralize

You want buyers to feel like they have walked into their home right away. How can you create a home that appeals to every type of person? Neutralize. Choose a light and neutral paint palette and repaint any rooms with extravagant or unique colors. It may seem a bit boring, but most people can imagine their belongings easier in a more neutral space. (Pro Tip: Neutralizing the bedroom is top priority if you can’t afford to paint every room.)

#3: Deodorize

Home touring can get a bit awkward. This is because, depending on how lived in the home is, a walk-through can almost feel like an intrusion. In just ten minutes, a buyer can learn a lot about your family. Do your best to take you out of the home. Replace family photos with more generic art and do your best to hide your clothes, toiletries, and collectibles.
