Buying or selling a home is not a simple process, and no one knows that better than a real estate agent. While the process is rewarding in the end, it comes with a lot of baggage. We spend long, restless hours working, and we sift through piles of paperwork, all to make sure you find the home of your dreams and/or sell yours for the price you need.

#1: Selling a Home Means Setting a Reasonable Price
Chances are, if you are getting ready to put your home on the market, you are hoping to get top dollar. The problem is, while you are excited about pricing your home, a buyer is not. The likelihood of you selling your home for slightly above market value is VERY low, and the longer your home stays on the market, the more likely you are to get lowballed. Your best bet is to set your home’s price just a hair under market value. This will excite buyers, and potentially cause a bidding war (which will then drive up your price).
#2: A Pre-Approval Is Everything
The easiest way to up your chances at landing the home of your dreams? Get pre-approved. Being ‘prequalified’ for a mortgage means nothing to a seller, but an approval is gold. This step is not superfluous. With a pre-approved mortgage, you gain an edge during the negotiation process, and you set yourself apart from other potential buyers.
