Sloss Fright Furnace
Experience Historic Sloss Furnaces like never before! Each year, one of Birmingham’s most popular landmarks transforms into a haunted attraction. Take a terrifying tour deep into the furnaces or try to escape a zombie infested forest at the newly expanded obstacle course, Outbreak 2. See why Sloss Fright Furnace is one of the top fright attractions in the world… but don’t say we didn’t warn you!

Bluff Park Art Show
Head to Hoover for the 54th Annual Bluff Park Art Show! Browse from over 150 artists, plus enjoy food from local vendors, hands-on art activities for the kids, and live jazz music! Proceeds from the show will be donated to help improve the arts in Birmingham.

Walk for Freedom
Lace up your walking shoes and head to Railroad Park for Birmingham’s Annual Walk for Freedom! Did you know that over 15,000 women and children were trafficked through Birmingham’s city limits via I-20 in 2012? Modern-day slavery takes place everyday right here in our own backyards. Join us as we raise awareness on human trafficking in Birmingham and support A21, a global anti-trafficking organization. Together, we can make a difference!

Birmingham Oktoberfest
Grab your lederhosen and head to Caldwell Park for Birmingham Oktoberfest! Enjoy a day of live polka music, an abundance of games, delicious German food, and (of course) ice cold beer! Boo at the Zoo
Visit the Birmingham Zoo this October for Boo at the Zoo – 12 nights of spooky attractions and fun!
