Dia de los Muertos
Join Bare Hands Gallery at the 20th Annual Day of the Dead Festival! Stroll through historic Sloss Furnaces as you enjoy live music, dance, food vendors, the beer garden, kid’s activities, and most importantly, the altars erected to those we have loved. Moss Rock Festival
Visit the Hoover Met for the 17th Moss Rock Festival, a weekend inspired by nature, smart living, art, and design! The festival welcomes over 10,000 visitors annually and features dozens of artists, makers, brewers, and bakers. Bring the whole family for a day in the great outdoors!

National Veterans Day Parade & Fireworks Show
Did you know our nation’s first Veterans Day Parade took place in 1947 right here in Alabama? Today, Birmingham still honors that tradition by holding a parade and fireworks show each year. Join in on the fun by viewing the 75th Annual parade downtown at 1:30 PM. You can find the parade route here! Following the parade, head to your favorite spot throughout Birmingham to watch the sky above Vulcan light up in celebration of our nation’s Veterans.

Night Market at Pepper Place
Magic City Half Marathon & 5K
Strap on your running shoes and join the Magic City Half Marathon, 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run this month! This race has quickly become the Premier Fall Running event in Alabama. With more than 2,000 athletes crossing the finish line ON Regions Field in downtown Birmingham, Food Trucks at the Finish Line and a great course through almost every part of Birmingham, this run is not to be missed.
