National Veterans Day Parade & Fireworks Show
Did you know our nation’s first Veterans Day Parade took place in 1947 right here in Alabama? Today, Birmingham still honors that tradition by holding a parade and fireworks show each year. Join in on the fun by viewing the 76th Annual parade downtown at 1:00 PM. You can find the parade route here! Following the parade, head to your favorite spot throughout Birmingham to watch the sky above Vulcan light up in celebration of our nation’s Veterans.

Magic City 5K
Strap on your running shoes and join the Magic City 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run this month! This race has quickly become the Premier Fall Running event in Alabama.
