Free Friday Flicks

Grab your friends and family and head out to CityWalk Bham every Friday night in June for a family-friendly movie, free kids zone and food trucks! Movie starts at dusk.

Vulcan’s 120th Birthday Bash

Enjoy a wonderful Sunday afternoon at Vulcan Park with music by The Fungis band, dance performances by Magic City Disco, and free mini cupcakes provided by Piggly Wiggly. The ever-popular NASCAR pace car will return along with special guest appearances from the Magic City Mermaid, Vesta, and ‘The Big Guy’ himself. Sloss Furnaces’ metal artists will demonstrate iron pouring process and over 20 local artists and crafters will sell their handmade goods. There will be more than 15 vendors with activities and giveaways for all guests to enjoy including a moonwalk, face painting, misting tent and more.

Annual Caribbean Food and Music Festival

Don’t miss out on this joyous, family-friendly celebration of Caribbean American Heritage Month! The annual Caribbean Food and Music Festival takes place at DeBardeleben Park from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eat your fill of jerk chicken, dance to Caribbean music, and enjoy face painting, dancing, and an authentic Caribbean parade.

Steel City Smooth Jazz Festival

Now in it’s 10th year, the Steel City Smooth Jazz Festival returns with live music celebrating various music genres with an emphasis on Smooth Jazz and R&B. This year our artists will provide outstanding performances over the course of three days on the grounds of historic Linn Park in downtown, Birmingham.

Mountain Wake Games

MWG is an annual event that brings athletes, their families, and spectators together for two fun days filled with wakeboard contests, food, vendors, music, and door prizes. Athletes have the opportunity to showcase their skills in two different wakeboarding disciplines: cable and boat. MWG is sanctioned by the World Wakeboard Association with payouts in All Divisions. Each day is a different contest with its own payouts. Come join us for a weekend full of FUN at Flip Side Watersports located inside of beautiful Oak Mountain State Park!
