3 Ways to Give Back During the Holidays
The holidays are here and ARC Realty loves a good excuse to gather with friends and family! ARC stands for “A Relationship Company” and we are committed to actively supporting the communities in which we live and work. While this time of year is meant to be celebrated, for many in our community it is a cause of pain and sadness. Join us as we give back to those in need throughout our community! Check out our list below of 3 Ways to Give Back During the Holidays.
Serve a Meal
The Firehouse Ministries provide homeless men in Birmingham a nurturing environment offering supportive services that break the cycle of homelessness and empower individuals to achieve their highest potential. For Thanksgiving and Christmas, there are several volunteer opportunities available including serving meals, cooking meals, transportation drivers and more.
For specific times and ways to get involved check out the Firehouse Ministries website.
Provide a Toy
Every child should wake up on Christmas morning with excitement and joy, but many do not have that opportunity. What better way to make a difference in a child’s life than by providing a special Christmas morning filled with gifts just for them! Toys for Tots is a program ran by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve whose goal is to provide new, unwrapped toys during the holidays to families in need. This is a great way to get the whole family involved serving by going to purchase gifts for these children together.
ARC Realty is a drop-off station for Toys for Tots gifts. Our Cahaba Heights office will be collecting gifts until December 11.
Donate a Coat
The winter months can be brutally cold and dangerous if you are not prepared. It is hard to think of anyone heading out during cold days without a proper coat, especially a child, but it is the reality for many. One of the easiest ways to serve others is to go through your closet and pull out old coats to donate. Give the gift of a warm coat this holiday season!
ARC Realty is a drop-off station for winter coats that will be donated to the City of Birmingham.
