58th Annual Birmingham Parade of Homes

Hosted by the Greater Birmingham Association of Homebuilders, the 58th Annual Parade of Homes kicked off this past weekend with 77 homes open to the public.

ARC REALTORS® Debbi Clarke and Kayla Crook are the listing agents for Harris and Doyle’s Trussville Springs development where several of their properties are included in this years’ Parade.

This being Clarke’s third year participating in the Parade, she enjoys the opportunity the event brings to see her listings through a variety of eyes. She said, “You will meet people from all walks in life and hear so many different views and thoughts on what they are seeing in the homes.”

The Parade has been known to host thousands of visitors who are searching for the latest in innovative building and decorating trends. “The Parade of Homes provides a platform for the public to be able to see the latest & greatest that Birmingham’s home builders have to offer!” Clarke said. “Two full weekends where there is no pressure, you can look not only to purchase homes but to get ideas on the latest trends, colors, and more for remodeling and upgrading your current home — whether you are ready to sell or not.”

As a part of this event, the GBAHB also features an annual ‘Ideal Home’ which is made to showcase cutting-edge technology and the latest in home design. The 2014 Ideal Home is located in the Glasscott community of Ross Bridge in Hoover. It boasts 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and is a true ‘smart-home’ with the ability to control everything from the entertainment system to the air conditioner with just your smartphone or tablet.

Although the 2014 ‘Ideal Home’ is already sold, the majority of the homes featured on the Parade of Homes are still for sale. Including 4281 Cahaba Bend located in Trussville Springs.

The Parade continues this weekend, April 12-13, and is free to all those interested in attending. Homes will be open to the public Saturday 10 a.m – 6 p.m. and Sunday 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.
