Cocktails on the Farm
On Saturday, June 21st, Jones Valley Teaching Farm is inviting you to join them for Cocktails on the Farm! The event is presented by JVTF’s Junior Board and IBERIABANK with ARC as one of the event sponsors.
The second annual Cocktails on the Farm will feature local food, drink, and music. Chefs from Brick and Tin, Carrigan’s Public House, Hot and Hot Fish Club, Knife Party, Little Donkey, Octane, Paramount, and Southern Living’s Test Kitchen will be serving small summer plates; eight bartenders will be crafting cocktails inspired by the summertime; music from Chad Fisher and Steelism; and JVTF will present an interactive display of the Good School Food program. Your ticket purchase includes food and two drink tickets, with additional tickets available for purchase at the event.
All proceeds will help JVTF grow their Good School Food program to three additional schools, reaching all five schools in the Woodlawn area and a total of six Birmingham City Schools. Good School Food is a comprehensive approach to working with school communities to close health and achievement gaps through innovative, hands-on food education. Good School Food includes programs like a student-run farmers market, a cooking series with families, teaching farms at local schools, and more.
