Secret Stages
Find a new favorite at Secret Stages- Birmingham’s music discovery festival dedicated to bringing you the best bands you haven’t heard yet! 2016’s fest will host over 60 bands across 2 days and 7 stages. These acts were drawn from the nation, the region, and our own back yard, and all are up-and-coming or buzz-worthy acts on the cusp of making a big splash. All Secret Stages venues are within a two-block radius, so you’ll have walking access to dozens of great bands, a variety of venues, and delectable restaurants!

Alabama Theatre Summer Film Series
Catch a flick at the historic Alabama Theatre! With four movies left in their Summer Film Series, you’ve got plenty of time to enjoy a movie you love with family and friends. The Sandlot, Showboat, Jaws, and Gone with the Wind can been seen on Friday nights or Sunday afternoons this month. As always, there will be sing-alongs and performances on the Mighty Wurlitzer before each movie!

Pup Crawl
Bring your four-legged friends to the last Pup Crawl of the summer! Enjoy local brews from Avondale Brewing Company, a dog photo booth, fun activities, and contests all while raising a glass to the Greater Birmingham Human Society. The T.A.R.A. van will also be on hand with adoptable dogs, gift shop items, and exclusive Pup Crawl merchandise. A $10 donation earns entry into the event, as well as one entry for a chance to win a pair of Adele tickets!

Sidewalk Film Festival
Check out the best in new, independent films! Narratives, documentaries, features, and short films are all featured at this 3-day festival, with a special spotlight on Alabama filmmakers. Sidewalk takes place at various locations in Downtown Birmingham’s Theatre District including Alabama Theatre, Red Mountain Theatre Company, Carver Theatre, and Alabama School of Fine Arts. With many different genres, you’re sure to find something you enjoy!
