July Summer Guide to Birmingham
Good news, Birmingham – we’ve got a fun-filled summer in store! Whether you’re looking for a night on the town or a family outing, there’s always something exciting happening in the Magic City. Check out a few of our favorite events taking place this month!
Fire on the Water
Head over to beautiful Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham for an exciting fireworks show on Monday, July 3rd. At 4pm, the park will begin to welcome guests by the carload (make sure to carpool for the best rate!). The park gates will close at 7pm, and fireworks will kick off at 9pm! Come hungry – food trucks will be on site. This is sure to be the best 4th of July Eve party in town!

Thunder on the Mountain
Celebrate Independence Day with Birmingham’s favorite iron man – Vulcan! Bring the whole family for an unforgettable fireworks show under the stars in one of Birmingham’s prime viewing locations (Five Points South, Homewood, Vestavia, Mountain Brook, and the UAB campus, among others). Don’t forget to grab your lawn chairs, and make sure you check out these other great viewing tips for the ultimate 4th of July experience!

Bark in the Park
Bring your furry friend to your favorite ballpark! On July 9th, the Birmingham Barons invite you and your 4-legged friends to Regions Field in support of Two by Two Animal Rescue. Each dog in attendance must have a ticket, and the proceeds from those tickets will go directly to Two by Two! Those proceeds will allow the organization to continue its mission: to provide care for stranded, abandoned, neglected, abused, and homeless dogs throughout Alabama. So get outside and support a great cause – that’s what we call a home run!
