Art Crawl
Kick off the new year downtown at The Pizitz! Stroll through the streets outside the newly renovated food hall as you meet local artists and performers while getting to view their work up close and personal. Be a part of the rapidly growing art scene in the Magic City and buy local! Art Crawl takes place every first Thursday, rain or shine.

Bach & Mozart for the New Year
Enjoy an evening at UAB’s Alys Stephens Center as you celebrate the new year in style with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. Hear favorites like “Mozart’s triumphant ‘Jupiter’ symphony, Bach’s renowned Orchestral Suite, featuring the tune from ‘Air on a G String,’ and Ravel’s remarkable Le Tombeau de Couperin.” Arrive early to hear the conductor himself give insight to the evening’s performance at Concert Comments in the Reynolds-Kirschbaum Recital Hall.

MLK Day 5K Drum Run
ARC is proud to be a sponsor of this year’s MLK Day 5K Drum Run/Walk! The race begins and ends in the heart of the Civil Rights District and features drum lines from the metro area schools that will line up along the race course to keep the beat as the runners and walkers make their way. Join us as we come together as a community to celebrate the spirit of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in the spirit of sisterhood and brotherhood with fellowship and fitness.
