Head to Oak Mountain State Park for a day of fun, fireworks and celebration of our nation’s Independence Day! The event will feature delicious bites from local food trucks, kids’ activities, a DJ, watersports, animals from the Oak Mountain Interpretive Center, libations, a spectacular fireworks show and so much more! Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for children and seniors.

Red White and Brew

Spend your July holiday enjoying Birmingham’s finest mobile eating and business establishments while watching the fireworks at Avondale Brewing Company. Bring friends and family to gather and celebrate at the 2nd Annual Red, White & Brew. The all-ages event will boast live performances from Legal Limit, Remy Garrison, and Heath Green and the Makeshifters. July 4 Festival in Downtown Homewood

Want something to do before Thunder on the Mountain? Downtown Homewood will be filled with rides, inflatables, music, and more. This is a great event for both you and your kids to just have fun together as you await the main event of the day-Thunder on the Mountain. The festivities will end in time for everyone to turn their attention to the Vulcan to view the wonderful spectacle. The festivities will take place on 18th Street South & 29th Ave South. Come celebrate with your friends and family!

Thunder on the Mountain

This is a Traditional way to celebrate Independence Day, and one of the most iconic events in Alabama. The show is so enormous that no one is allowed in the park during the fireworks show. However, the fireworks can be viewed from plenty of other locations surrounding Vulcan Park.
