Oak Mountain State Fair
The Oak Mountain State Fair is back! Join us for one of the most exciting family events of the year. Each spring, families flock to Pelham, just 20 minutes outside of downtown, to experience the thrill rides, carnival games, delicious food, petting zoo, and live music offered at the fair. Parking is free each day, but check out the fair’s website for special deals and discounts that change daily!

Heights Hangout

Art in the Village
Join the Mountain Brook Art Association as they present their 38th annual spring art show, Art in the Village. Star Wars Night at Regions Field
Are you one with the force? Head to Regions Field on May 4th for Star Wars Night as the Birmingham Barons take on the Chattanooga Lookouts. Throughout the evening, several of your favorite characters will make appearances, and the fan with the best costume will win a prize courtesy of the Barons! Stick around after the game for the traditional Friday Night Fireworks. We’re positive it will be fun for the whole family!

Join us on the green for the 2019 PGA Champions Tour at the Greystone Golf & Country Club. The event includes a Pro-Am tournament on Wednesday and the professional tournament Thursday-Sunday. Keep your eyes peeled for local and national celebrities like Bo Jackson, Dr. Condoleezza Rice, and Taylor Hicks, as well as many of your favorite SEC coaches. Great Southern Beer Fest
We all know the South is emerging as the next craft beer frontier. Spend the afternoon at Railroad Park sampling your favorite Southern craft brews and enjoying live music, deals and giveaways from local vendors, and food for purchase from some of the best food trucks and restaurants in town. Plus, you’ll receive a full-size commemorative mason jar to take home!

Do Dah Day
Birmingham’s annual pup parade kicks off at 11 am on May 18th on Highland Avenue in Southside. After the parade, spend the day with your four-legged friends at Caldwell and Rhodes Parks where you’ll see vendors, arts and crafts, kids’ activities, and a lineup of great bands! The best part? The festival is free for attendees! All proceeds benefit local animal charities.
