Our Favorite Ways to Watermelon

Summer is here and we’ll be needing a refreshing way to cool off soon! What better than a fresh watermelon? Here are some fun ways to make use of watermelons this summer!

Cocktails/Mocktails

This cocktail is so refreshing! Stir together watermelon juice, fresh lime juice, a sweetener of your choice and vodka. Add ice and top with lime slices or watermelon wedges. You can easily make this a mocktail by trading out vodka for club soda or sprite!

Salad

There are so many ways you can incorporate a watermelon into a salad. One of our favorites is tossing the watermelon with crumbled feta, diced cucumbers and shredded mint. Top with rice wine vinegar and lime juice.

Popsicles

This is a great treat to have by the pool during those hot summer days. You’ll need 3 heaping cups of cubed watermelon, 1 heaping cup of strawberries and juice from 1 lime. Place all of tha tinto a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into a popsicle mold and let it freeze for 3 hours. Remove from the mold and enjoy!

Salsa

Who doesn’t love salsa? Try mixing it up by finely dicing your watermelon and combining it with diced onions, bell peppers, cilantro, jalapeños, lime juice, salt and pepper. Grab some tortilla chips and you are all set!

Fruit Pizza

The kids are sure to love this fruit pizza! Cut you watermelon like you would pizza slices. Top with a thin layer of cream cheese and your favgorite fruit. We love adding blackberries, blueberries and raspberries. Garnish with fresh mint!
