Get Your Grill Ready for Summer
Summer is here and that means it’s time to fire up the grill! Roll up your sleeves and utilize these easy tips to get your grill ready for summer.
Clean the Exterior
Every grill has many parts and components that can get dirty while the grill is out of use. Start by wiping down the exterior with soapy water. Grill surfaces can vary so make sure you are using a product that is safe.
Upgrade your Tools
Do you store your grill tools outside with the grill? If so, you may need to replace any that are damaged or old. This could also be the perfect time to add some fun new tools and accessories.
Clean the Grates
It’s important to start the grilling season with clean grates — after all that’s where the magic happens on the grill! It’s best to turn your grill on for 15 minutes so build up and debris can turn to ash. Next you’ll want a stainless steel brush to get any food left behind. If a serious deep clean is needed, soak the grates with vinegar and baking soda overnight.
Check Propane Levels
Chances are your grill has not been used much during winter so now is the right time to check your propane levels and fill up. Consider getting a back up tank to prevent running out right before dinner time.
