Where to Create a Permanent Home Office
We’ve all had to adapt the way we live and do business during the COVID-19 pandemic. For many of us this meant working from home. What started out as a temporary arrangement has quickly turned into something more permanent. We’ve had to get creative in how and where we created a workspace in our home. Here are some of the most popular home office setups that could be a great permanent solution for you!
Basement
If you do not have a garage, converting a finished basement into a home office is a great choice. If your basement is not finished, keep in mind you can do many DIY projects to make the space conducive to working. Also, it’ll be worth it to have a permanent space in your home to do work once it’s completed.
Above Garage Loft
If you have a finished space above your garage that is a prime spot for a home office. This is a free option so why not take advantage of the space! An added benefit is still having to “leave” your home to go to work helping you get into a routine more easily than if you were to stay inside your home to work.
Tiny House
Tiny homes have been a popular living arrangement for years now. Many people are finding them to be another great option for a permanent office. Tiny homes can vary wildly in cost, but one of the more inexpensive options are prefabricated cottages or “granny pods.”
Guest Bedroom
Many people are not having guest stay over at this time which opens up a great opportunity to convert your guest bedroom into your home office. You could change out the larger guest bed for a daybed or futon to create more open space.
