Hoover To Get a Major Sports Complex
The greater Birmingham area is constantly growing, especially in Hoover, one of the area’s fastest-growing communities.
Now, Hoover is taking steps to further add to its appeal by announcing the construction of a $70 million sports complex!

The Sports Section
The new complex has facilities for every type of sport or activity you can imagine. First, they will build seven top-of-the-line football fields and eight baseball and softball fields! Sounds like a lot right? Well, it doesn’t stop there!
On top of those 15 fields, there will be 15 more tennis courts! The original budget ends with 30 fields, but they are ensuring they will build the facility with enough space to accommodate more in the future.
Future goals include adding numerous volleyball courts, soccer fields, and basketball courts. Outside of the fields, there will also be a nice walking/running trail, a playground, and a splash pad for those hot summer days! To put it frankly, Hoover is getting a sports and fitness dreamland.
The Conference Section
In addition to the sports facilities, the new venue will offer a great place for banquets and social events. The professional and inviting environment is perfect for business tradeshows as well.
The new center will be attached to the Hoover Met, and parking will be increased by 5,000 spaces, making it fully accomodable to small tradeshows and corporate events alike. We imagine the space will bring more businesses into the city than ever before, hopefully inspiring great economic developments in the Hoover area.
