Symphony in the Summer
Kick off the summer at Railroad Park with three days of free concerts! Enjoy the sounds of your Alabama Symphony Orchestra as you relax under the stars. Friday and Saturday nights will feature classical favorites, and on Sunday you can enjoy a family-friendly concert. Grab some friends, a picnic, and your lawn chairs, and join us for a wonderful weekend of music!

Fiddler on the Roof
Spend the evening with Birmingham’s Red Mountain Theatre Company as they present of one of the most beloved Broadway musicals of all time. Experience this heartwarming show – winner of three Tony awards – in the beautiful Virginia Samford Theatre. Enjoy a night out, or start a family “Tradition” and catch a matinee with the kids!

Summer Film Series
Snag a seat in style at the historic Alabama Theatre during their Summer Film Series. Every Friday night and Sunday afternoon this month, you’re invited to beat the heat with popcorn and a movie! From classics like Psycho and Cabaret to newer fan favorites like Mean Girls, we guarantee this series will be “so fetch!”

Join UAB’s Alys Stephens Center as they celebrate all things Alabama with an evening of live music, great food, the best brews, and shopping with local vendors! Local is the perfect event for families & all who love to call this great state home.

Zoo, Brews, & Full Moon BBQ
Take a walk on the wild side! Visit the Birmingham Zoo for the 3nd annual Zoo, Brews, and Full Moon Bar-B-Que. Sample craft beers from over a dozen local breweries, enjoy a delicious dinner provided by Full Moon Bar-B-Que, and listen to live music as you explore the zoo! There are plenty of activities for the kids, too, including the all-new Pirate Train ride and the Avian Adventures Free Flight Bird Show. Bring the whole family for a night they won’t forget! Art on the Rocks
The Birmingham Museum of Art’s dynamic summer series is back and better than ever! Enjoy a night at the museum with some of Birmingham’s best musicians, artists, and makers as you experience “exciting performances inspired by art and culture around the world.” Local favorites, The Cakerie and Steel City Pops, will be on site, as well as mixologists who have created a specialty drink for the evening inspired by a painting located in the museum by Claude Monet – the Monet Mule. You don’t want to miss this!
